Venues

PFF events are usually held at one of four main venues, Newark Sowground; Kelham Hall, Newark; Carnfield Hall, Derbyshire; and Old Market Hall, Huddersfield - details of these venues can be found below. We presently looking at two new venues in the Midlands area.

Newark and Notts Showground - NG24 2NY

Newark on Trent, Nottinghamshire, England.

Junction of A1/A46/A17 - 1 mile from A1

”If you can’t find it at Newark, you can’t find it anywhere”

This is by far the biggest of our events. There are usually 1/2 large halls depending on the time of year acres of outdoor stalls plus a large display of classic cars, bike, etc.

At previous events at Newark we have had over 3000 plots taken!! Practical Classics have written a review of it after taking a stall themselves.

Such is the popularity of the event, we have people queuing to get in an hour before the gates are due to open. Customers often make a day of it. We give away various publications on the gate, but be there early to avoid disappointment. There is a classic parking area within the show for pre-1980 vehicles.

The event is sponsored by Old Bike Mart, Classic Motor Monthly and Classic Car Weekly.

Newark Showground is situated at the junction of the A1/A46/A17 and is permanently signed. We placed temporary orange signs for the event. There is also an air museum on the showground land, and this is also permanently signed. Customer car parking is chiefly on hard standing with additional parking on surrounding grass.
